Group Finance Manager – Lead Finance Team

About the role

Four Squared, a growing family‑owned group business in South West England, is seeking an experienced Group Finance Manager to lead its finance function during a period of rapid expansion. You will own the day‑to‑day finance operation across multiple entities, ensuring robust controls, accurate reporting and a smooth high‑volume transactional process.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of four finance professionals.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and group‑level reporting.
• Oversee high‑volume transactional finance activities and month‑end close.
• Manage reconciliations, financial controls and audit support.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
• Drive process improvements and increase automation within finance.
• Partner with operational stakeholders across the business.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• Proven experience as a Finance Manager or Group Finance Manager.
• Strong background in management accounting and financial reporting.
• Experience managing transactional finance teams.
• Commercial, hands‑on and proactive approach.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced SME environment.
