Group Finance Manager – Private Equity Backed Group

About the role

The Group Finance Manager will sit at the heart of the finance function of a private‑equity‑backed group of businesses. The role covers group reporting, consolidation and month‑end close, and provides the leadership team with timely management information. You will also support the integration of newly acquired companies and have the opportunity to develop into a broader FP&A function.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and consolidation of group financial statements and month‑end close for all entities.
• Produce and maintain management reporting packs used by the leadership team to drive decision‑making.
• Support the integration of newly acquired businesses into group reporting processes, systems and controls.
• Perform hands‑on finance tasks such as invoicing and supplier due‑diligence when required.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a solid grounding in consolidation accounting and UK GAAP/FRS 102.
• Strong Excel skills and a proactive “can‑do” attitude, able to work under tight deadlines.
• Experience of month‑end, reporting or audit work, preferably within a private‑equity‑backed, fast‑growing environment.
• Desire to broaden exposure across the group and eventually take on FP&A responsibilities.
