Group Financial Accountant – 12‑month Fixed‑Term

About the role

Our client, a respected international organisation, is seeking a technically strong Group Financial Accountant to join their finance team on a 12‑month fixed‑term basis. You will own group reporting, statutory accounts and technical accounting in a complex multi‑entity environment while contributing to finance transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly group consolidation journals and support the group reporting process.
• Produce statutory financial statements and accompanying disclosures.
• Provide technical accounting guidance, including the application of IFRS.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations, variance analysis and month‑end reporting.
• Support internal and external audit processes with accurate and timely information.
• Research complex accounting matters and deliver practical recommendations.
• Build strong relationships with finance stakeholders and wider business partners.
• Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, controls and reporting efficiency.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Proven experience in group reporting, consolidations and statutory accounts.
• Excellent analytical ability and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proactive, able to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills and confidence engaging senior stakeholders.
• Experience supporting audit processes and maintaining robust financial controls.

What we offer

• 12‑month fixed‑term contract with salary £60,000‑£65,000 per year.
