Group Financial Controller – Global Finance Leadership

About the role

The Group Financial Controller will lead the finance function for an international education business, ensuring accurate consolidation, reporting and compliance across multiple legal entities worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee group consolidation and preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, providing commentary on key variances.
• Manage the group audit process and coordinate all local statutory audits.
• Lead a global team of finance professionals responsible for statutory accounting and compliance.
• Develop and implement global accounting policies to unify all entities under a single standard.
• Drive process simplification and optimisation, reducing the monthly close cycle to three days.
• Handle IFRS16 lease accounting, transfer pricing calculations, and monthly payroll posting for all entities.
• Support wider business initiatives such as billing and collection process improvements.

Required profile

• Available to start within one month.
• Minimum three years post‑qualification experience (ACA or ACCA).
• Proven experience managing finance staff and multiple legal entities.
• Demonstrated transfer pricing experience.
