Group Financial Controller

About the role

ISCA Recruitment is seeking a Group Financial Controller for a fast‑growing manufacturing group. Reporting to the CFO, you will act as a trusted business partner to senior leaders, shaping strategy, strengthening controls and supporting acquisitions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver Group interim and annual financial reports.
• Lead the Group consolidation process for management and statutory accounts.
• Support operating companies during year‑end close and audit readiness.
• Manage relationships with external auditors and ensure efficient audit execution.
• Prepare subsidiary statutory accounts.
• Drive implementation and optimisation of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
• Ensure compliance with evolving accounting standards and reporting requirements.
• Work with newly acquired businesses and the Group FD to accelerate integration and financial maturity.
• Identify performance variances and recommend improvement initiatives.
• Develop scalable financial controls, systems and processes across the Group.
• Support the commercial FD in upskilling finance teams across entities.
• Assist the CFO with acquisition integration, tax planning, R&D tax credits, banking, cash management and company secretarial matters.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) with strong technical expertise.
• Commercial acumen, leadership capability and a passion for continuous improvement.
• Recent audit experience in both UK SME and listed/quoted environments.

Required skills

• SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
