Group Financial Controller

About the role

The Group Financial Controller will own the core finance function for School of Coding & AI, a fast‑growing education group. This senior, hands‑on position ensures that all financial operations are accurate, efficient, and well‑controlled across multiple entities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day‑to‑day finance function across the group.
• Ensure all core finance activities (management accounts, statutory accounts, payroll, VAT, PAYE, cash, collections, payments, assets, reconciliations, controls, reporting) are accurate, timely and well‑controlled.
• Own the monthly management accounts process for multiple entities and oversee balance‑sheet reconciliations, journals, accruals, pre‑payments and month‑end close.
• Maintain reliable financial reporting and meet agreed deadlines.
• Implement, develop and embed finance processes, systems and controls in partnership with the CFO.
• Lead, develop and manage a finance team, including two accountants based in India.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or Group Financial Controller in a growing, multi‑entity organisation.
• Strong technical finance expertise with a detail‑oriented approach.
• Highly organised, able to bring discipline, pace and structure to finance operations.
• Senior‑level experience with a track record of delivering accurate month‑end closes and reliable reporting.
