Group Financial Controller

About the role

This is a senior finance position within a fast‑growing FMCG food & beverage scale‑up. Reporting directly to the Founder, you will lead a team of four accountants and own the financial control framework across three international regions. The role is hybrid, requiring two days per week in the London office.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of four qualified and part‑qualified accountants.
• Own the monthly management accounts, close process and group consolidation for three regions.
• Manage the year‑end audit and act as primary contact for external auditors.
• Maintain robust financial controls, including balance‑sheet oversight and stock reconciliation.
• Oversee cash‑flow forecasting, liquidity management and support international expansion.
• Supervise accounts payable/receivable, aged debtor/creditor reporting and VAT returns for the UK and Europe.
• Drive continuous improvement and potential finance system implementation projects.

Required profile

• Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CA accountant.
• Strong experience in a stock‑based, FMCG environment.
• Proven track record of leading and developing finance teams.
• Experience with international entities and group consolidation.
• Background in fast‑growth, scale‑up businesses is preferred.
