Group Insurance Manager – Remote

About the role

This senior position leads the group‑wide insurance programme for a large, diversified organisation operating across the UK and Ireland. Working primarily remotely, you will act as the central insurance contact, collaborating with brokers, insurers and senior leaders to shape strategy and manage risk.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual renewal of the corporate insurance programme, securing appropriate cover and competitive terms.
• Manage relationships with brokers, insurers and external advisors.
• Oversee the full claims lifecycle across multiple insurance classes.
• Provide insurance and risk‑management advice to stakeholders across the business.
• Review contractual insurance requirements and advise on policy terms.
• Produce claims and risk reports for senior management and directors.
• Support risk surveys, site assessments and insurer visits.
• Assist with insurance due diligence and integration for acquisitions.
• Guide insurance considerations for major projects, new equipment and operational changes.
• Monitor insurance costs, support budget planning and identify process improvements.
• Mentor and support a small insurance team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in insurance, risk management, broking or a related environment.
• Strong understanding of commercial insurance programmes and claims management.
• Experience working with insurers, brokers and key internal stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships at all organisational levels.
