Group Operations Manager

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing manufacturing group, is looking for a Group Operations Manager to lead multi‑site production, engineering, supply chain, quality and health & safety functions. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will shape operational strategy, drive Lean initiatives and deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, performance and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop multi‑site manufacturing and engineering operations.
• Implement operational strategies aligned with business growth.
• Champion Lean, Kaizen and continuous improvement programmes.
• Improve OEE, productivity, quality and on‑time delivery.
• Hold full operational P&L responsibility and manage budgets.
• Drive cost‑reduction programmes without compromising quality.
• Lead health & safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coach and develop operational management teams.
• Enhance ERP/MRP utilisation and support digital transformation.

Required profile

• Senior operational leadership experience in manufacturing or engineering.
• Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and continuous improvement.
• Proven multi‑site management experience with a track record of improving OEE.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver measurable cost savings.
• Leadership experience in health & safety.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
• Ability to lead, coach and develop large teams.
