Group Procurement Buyer – Indirect Procurement

About the role

Join the procurement team at one of the UK’s largest food manufacturers, focusing on indirect categories such as IT, HR, and factory services. You will meet with suppliers, lead contract negotiations and tenders, and implement supplier agreements to support the business.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Manager/Head of Procurement in preparing RFI, RFQ and ITT documents.
• Source new suppliers and materials for indirect spend.
• Implement and manage supplier agreements.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers.
• Execute category plans and support high‑profile projects.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience as a procurement buyer, leading negotiations and tenders from start to finish.
• Familiarity with indirect procurement categories, supplier selection, contract management and tendering.
• Ambitious, client‑facing attitude with a desire to develop supplier relationships.
• MCIPS qualification or equivalent is beneficial but not essential.

• Tender management and category planning.
