Group Reporting Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Group Reporting Accountant to join a high‑calibre finance team at an award‑winning general insurer in the City of London. The role involves processing, analysing and overseeing the group’s consolidated results and financial position, supporting the regular financial reporting cycle and meeting all group reporting requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Support month‑end, quarter‑end and annual group closing, including consolidation under IFRS, intercompany reconciliations and expense allocations.
• Lead quarter‑end group analysis, manage IFRS 16 processes and calculate ECL impairment under IFRS 9.
• Prepare finance inputs for the actuarial IFRS 17 process and post IFRS 17 adjustment journals.
• Assist regulatory closing under Solvency II and monitor monthly reinsurance bookings across UK and Europe.
• Prepare quarterly reinsurance statements and financial statements for selected group entities.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with experience in financial reporting or group accounting.
• Relevant experience in the insurance industry is essential.
• Excellent organisational ability and strong written and verbal communication skills.
