Group Reporting Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced qualified accountant to lead our group reporting function for a high‑growth, acquisition‑focused business in Essex. You will manage consolidation, month‑end close and system improvement projects while mentoring a small finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the group consolidation process across multiple legal entities and international regions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual close cycles in line with corporate reporting deadlines.
• Oversee intercompany accounting, balance‑sheet reconciliations and financial controls to maintain reporting integrity.
• Support statutory reporting, tax, audit and compliance activities, adhering to accounting policies and internal controls.
• Drive finance projects such as acquisition integrations, financial system enhancements and month‑end efficiency initiatives.
• Act as subject‑matter expert for the general ledger and financial reporting systems, supporting improvements and business integrations.
• Build strong relationships with finance stakeholders across the business to foster collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Lead, coach and develop the Group Consolidation team.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with extensive group reporting and financial accounting experience.
• Proven ability to manage complex consolidation processes across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on accuracy, deadlines and process optimisation.
• Experience leading and developing small finance teams.
