Group Tax Analyst

About the role

Amex GBT is seeking a Group Tax Analyst to strengthen its UK corporate tax function while gaining exposure to an international environment. This role is suitable for professionals with around two years of UK corporate tax experience or those returning after a career break, offering flexible remote or hybrid working arrangements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare UK Group corporate tax returns using OneSource Corporate Tax software, including corporate interest restriction calculations, Group Relief, capital allowances and CFC analyses.
• Manage UK corporation tax Payments on Account (POA) and UK PAYE Settlement Agreements.
• Prepare tax provisions for US GAAP Group and local UK statutory accounts.
• Support tax governance and maintain relationships with the UK Tax Authority.
• Drive process‑improvement, automation and efficiency initiatives.
• Participate in ad‑hoc projects to develop international tax expertise.

Required profile

• Finance or tax qualification (ACCA, ACA, CTA, ATT or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years of UK corporate tax experience.
• Strong written and numerical communication skills.
• Ability to research and apply local tax legislation.
• Proactive, self‑motivated with strong organisational abilities.

• Advanced Excel and data analysis.
