Group Technical Reporting Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Group Technical Reporting Accountant to join the Group Finance team of a leading global consumer brand. Reporting to the Head of Group Reporting, you will own the external reporting process and shape how the listed group communicates its financial performance to investors and regulators.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare half‑year and full‑year consolidated financial statements and the Annual Report & Accounts in full compliance with IFRS.
• Lead technical accounting work on complex areas such as impairments, IFRS 16, IFRS 2, foreign‑currency and segmental reporting, producing clear papers for senior stakeholders and auditors.
• Manage the end‑to‑end external audit process, coordinating deliverables and resolving technical queries.
• Drive reporting excellence by enhancing controls, automation and efficiency, and partnering with Regional Finance teams.
• Support Investor Relations and strategic finance initiatives while coaching colleagues within Group Reporting.

Required profile

• ACA qualification with post‑qualified experience in large, listed organisations or a Big 4 audit background.
• Deep expertise in IFRS, consolidation and disclosure, with ability to interpret new standards.
• Strong audit and governance experience, including managing external audits.
• Proven leadership and influencing skills, able to coach and partner across global finance and non‑finance teams.
• Analytical mindset with strong systems, data capability and a continuous‑improvement approach.
