Job description
About the role
This is a new role at MTM, created to help us build a sales engine and unlock new revenue. You'll work alongside our Head of Sales, developing the sales strategy, target accounts with intelligent account segmentation and end‑to‑end sales processes. You’ll be involved in driving targeted outreach, keeping account actions on track, and instilling pipeline discipline.
Key responsibilities
- Work with the Head of Sales to develop MTM's sales strategy, account segmentation and target list, then run the processes that put it into practice.
- Act as the Head of Sales' right hand in running MTM's sales operations, preparing for key sales and account meetings and ensuring decisions turn into action.
- Participate in regular account planning with Account Directors, using marketing plans and pipeline data to identify priority business‑development activity.
- Own follow‑through on commitments: track, chase, unblock and report progress to the Head of Sales.
- Research target organisations and contacts, map warm networks and relationship paths, and identify the right people for MTM leaders to approach.
- Design and run targeted outreach, building lists, drafting messages, coordinating touchpoints and supporting event outreach.
- Collaborate with the Head of Marketing to convert campaigns, thought leadership and events into targeted sales activity.
- Maintain accurate HubSpot data, ensure clear ownership of leads and opportunities, and produce simple sales and pipeline reporting.
- Continuously improve MTM's sales process: sharper targeting, less friction and more effective outreach.
Required profile
- Smart – think like a strategy consultant, using data and judgement to shape target organisations and contacts.
- Organised – build systems that turn account meetings into owned actions with deadlines.
- Analytical – identify who matters in an organisation and why they’d care now, using data, desk research, LinkedIn and CRM information.
- Team worker – make it easy for busy Account Directors and senior consultants to act and build trust to keep constructive pressure.
- Hands‑on and commercial – comfortable building target lists, drafting outreach and shaping growth plans, motivated by turning activity into pipeline and revenue.
- Tech‑savvy – confident with CRM platforms, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, AI and automation tools, using them to sharpen quality.
