About the role

We are seeking an energetic Gym Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operations of a thriving community‑focused fitness centre in North Oxfordshire. You will combine operational oversight with hands‑on coaching, ensuring an exceptional experience for every member.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of gym operations, including staffing, scheduling and facility maintenance.
• Deliver personal training sessions and lead group classes as needed.
• Drive member acquisition, conduct tours and support the member journey to maximise retention.
• Conduct performance appraisals, mentor staff and foster a high‑energy, supportive team culture.
• Monitor financial performance, manage budgets and contribute to business growth initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in gym or fitness centre management, operations or studio leadership.
• Strong people skills with a passion for mentoring and developing staff.
• Commitment to health, fitness and staying current with industry trends.
• Ability to work Monday‑Friday, 37.5 hours, with a hybrid work pattern (1 day remote).
