Hair & Beauty Lecturer – Further Education Teaching Role

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Hair & Beauty Lecturer to deliver high‑quality teaching for further‑education providers in Liverpool. You will inspire learners pursuing careers in hair, beauty and aesthetics, helping them develop practical salon skills and industry knowledge.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Hair & Beauty lessons across multiple levels.
• Teach Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy and related programmes.
• Assess, monitor and record student progress in line with college requirements.
• Provide constructive feedback and academic support to learners.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and industry‑compliant learning environment.
• Contribute to learner achievement, retention and progression.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or qualification in Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy, Aesthetics or a related subject.
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training or equivalent).
• Experience teaching Hair & Beauty in further, higher or adult education settings.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
