Hair & Beauty Lecturer

About the role

We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic Hair & Beauty Lecturers to join a range of well‑established further‑education providers in South East England. You will deliver engaging lessons that develop students' practical salon skills, technical knowledge and professional standards, helping them achieve both academic and career goals.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality Hair & Beauty lessons.
• Teach Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy and related programmes to learners of varying levels.
• Assess, monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate records in line with college requirements.
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Ensure practical activities comply with health, safety and industry regulations.
• Contribute to learner achievement, retention and progression.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or qualification in Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy, Aesthetics or a related subject.
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, or equivalent).
• Experience teaching Hair & Beauty in further‑education, higher‑education, secondary or adult‑learning settings.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities.
• Passion for Hair & Beauty education and industry experience is desirable.
