Hairdresser – Part‑time (6 hrs/week) – Haddington Care Home

About the role

We are looking for a qualified hairdresser to join our Haddington Care Home on a part‑time, temporary basis. Working one day a week (approximately six hours), you will help residents look and feel their best, contributing to their wellbeing and confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a full range of hairdressing services, including washing, cutting and styling, tailored to each resident’s preferences.
• Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming salon environment in line with hygiene and health‑and‑safety standards.
• Schedule and manage appointments independently, ensuring timely service delivery.
• Collaborate with care staff to support residents’ personal dignity and routine.

Required profile

• Qualified hairdresser with relevant experience in a care or residential setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Caring, patient and respectful attitude towards elderly residents.
• Ability to work independently and manage a small weekly timetable.
