Handy Person – Property Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking a Handy Person to join our St. Albans office on a permanent, full‑time basis. You will deliver high‑quality responsive and planned repairs across occupied and void social‑housing properties, ensuring work is completed right the first time.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out basic repairs and installations of windows, doors, ironmongery, benches, planters, decking and fencing.
• Fit shelving, curtain battens/poles and perform damp and mould washes.
• Upgrade loft insulation and undertake other general maintenance tasks as required.

Required profile

• Organised with the ability to keep accurate job records.
• Experience in general plumbing, carpentry, repairs and use of handheld tools.
• NVQ Level 2 Building Maintenance Operative or equivalent qualification (essential).
• CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card (desirable).
• Customer‑focused, experienced in occupied and void social‑housing environments.
• Valid full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months.
