Handyperson – Residential Maintenance

About the role

Hexagon Group is partnering with a leading residential management company to recruit a Handyperson for a super‑prime development in South West London. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality maintenance services, ensuring the building remains safe, efficient and impeccably presented for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive general maintenance and minor repairs, including basic plumbing, carpentry, first‑fix electrical work, and painting & decorating.
• Assist the Facilities Manager with routine inspections, health & safety checks, and compliance monitoring across communal areas, plant rooms and back‑of‑house spaces.
• Respond promptly to resident maintenance requests and coordinate specialist contractors when required.
• Monitor and replenish stock levels of tools and consumables, maintaining accurate records of work performed and defects identified.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a Handyperson, building maintenance or facilities role, preferably within residential or hospitality environments.
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude with a solid understanding of health & safety and compliance requirements.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills, able to work independently and as part of an on‑site team.
• Relevant qualification such as a City & Guilds or NVQ in a building trade is advantageous but not essential.
