Hard Services FM Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Hard Services Facilities Manager to lead the delivery and maintenance of all hard FM services for our client in Bristol. You will ensure that mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire safety and other critical infrastructure operate safely, efficiently and in compliance with regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage hard FM services including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire safety systems and building fabric.
• Oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance programmes.
• Coordinate specialist contractors and service providers, monitoring KPI and SLA performance.
• Ensure statutory compliance with health, safety, fire and building regulations through audits and inspections.
• Control maintenance budgets, identify cost‑saving opportunities and support refurbishment and capital projects.
• Produce performance, compliance, financial and operational reports for stakeholders.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, contractors and internal teams while driving continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a hard services facilities management role.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical (M&E) building services.
• Experience managing contractors, suppliers and maintenance teams.
• Good understanding of statutory compliance, health & safety, fire safety and building regulations.
• Budget management and commercial awareness.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
