Head Baker – New Bakery Opening

About the role

We are opening a new bakery in West London and are looking for an experienced Head Baker to lead the kitchen team. You will be responsible for producing high‑quality breads, cakes and pastries while ensuring food‑safety standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and bake a full range of bakery products for daily service.
• Maintain and organise the bakery production schedule, starting early mornings (typically 5:30 am‑6:30 am).
• Oversee the presentation of items on bakery displays and ensure consistency with recipes.
• Train, mentor and develop kitchen team members to achieve high performance.
• Monitor and enforce food safety and hygiene standards throughout the bakery.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a senior baking role, preferably as a Head or Lead Baker.
• Strong organisational and communication skills to lead a team effectively.
• Ability to work early shifts and manage a fast‑paced environment.
• Passion for delivering fresh, high‑quality baked goods.
