Head Chef - City-Centre Pub, Inverness

About the role

A city-centre pub in Inverness, built on the site of an auctioneer's building, is hiring a Head Chef. The post is full time, permanent and scheduled for 45 hours per week. The Head Chef keeps the kitchen running smoothly during busy services, supports the team and ensures every dish meets the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Take charge of the kitchen and make decisions or suggest improvements to help the team run better together
• Communicate clearly with the team to deliver high-quality meals to customers on time
• Recognise and lead the team as a whole, maximising their potential
• Maintain hygiene levels and safety regulations in the kitchen

Required profile

• Experience managing a busy kitchen and training and developing a high-performing team
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen
• Keen eye for tasty, well-presented meals
• Sufficient spoken and written English to work safely and understand allergen controls
