Head Housekeeper

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Head Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping and laundry services at Droitwich Mews Care Home. You will ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents while supporting the wider hospitality team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily housekeeping and laundry operations, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and infection control.
• Carry out cleaning duties in accordance with the housekeeping job description.
• Prepare and submit orders for cleaning and laundry supplies, maintaining appropriate stock levels and staying within budget.
• Monitor and audit work quality, providing guidance and training to new staff.
• Supervise, schedule and motivate the housekeeping team, ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cleaning and laundry management within a public or care setting.
• Good knowledge of health and safety regulations related to housekeeping.
• Ability to lead a team, manage stock, and work to budgetary constraints.
