Head of Admissions

About the role

The Head of Admissions will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of the Admissions function at Fairfield School of Business, ensuring a high‑quality, efficient, fair and compliant service for a diverse student community.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement an admissions strategy aligned with institutional objectives, recruitment plans and academic priorities.
• Lead the Admissions team, set KPIs, targets and forecasts, and provide evidence‑based advice to senior management.
• Oversee the full applicant journey from application to enrolment, ensuring fair and consistent assessment against entry requirements.
• Maintain academic standards while balancing commercial and recruitment considerations.
• Monitor and improve applicant experience, response times and turnaround times.
• Produce regular reports, dashboards and analysis of applications, offers, conversion and enrolment trends.
• Support widening participation, access and participation objectives and ensure compliance with OfS and partner requirements.

Required profile

• Significant senior leadership experience in admissions or higher‑education recruitment.
• Strong regulatory awareness of OfS and partner requirements.
• Excellent analytical capability and data‑driven decision‑making.
• Proven ability to deliver high‑quality applicant service and drive continuous improvement.
