Head of Airside Services (Jersey Airport)

About the role

The Head of Airside Services leads Swissport's airside operations at Jersey Airport, overseeing ramp, baggage, dispatch, cleaning and de‑icing services. Reporting to the Station Manager, you will ensure safe, profitable, and high‑quality service delivery in line with customer expectations and corporate strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Safety Leader, ensuring compliance with health, safety and regulatory requirements and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Manage the P&L for the airside unit, preparing budgets, analysing performance and identifying improvement opportunities.
• Provide strong leadership to unit heads and supervisory staff, fostering a positive work culture and effective communication.
• Drive stakeholder and trade‑union relationships, resolve conflicts and support employee engagement.
• Maintain service quality, operational efficiency and continuous improvement across all airside functions.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a complex, operational environment.
• Commercial acumen with a track record of managing budgets and driving profitability.
• Ability to make decisive decisions, coach teams and manage performance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
