About the role
Reporting to the CEO, you will lead strategic and operational delivery of KnowledgeBrief’s apprenticeship and training programmes, overseeing curriculum, quality, compliance and learner/employer outcomes. You will shape growth, balance educational excellence with commercial sustainability, and build high‑performing teams across operations, quality, curriculum and client experience.
Key responsibilities
- Shape strategy and sustainable growth of apprenticeship provision, advising on priorities, investment and development.
- Align workforce capability and delivery capacity with current commitments and future growth, using financial and performance insight.
- Guide curriculum and programme development to ensure rigorous, engaging offerings supported by appropriate resources.
- Oversee quality, compliance, safeguarding and audit readiness, embedding strong practices into daily delivery.
- Develop and mentor a collaborative management team, establishing clear priorities and accountability.
- Use data and stakeholder feedback to drive performance improvement in retention, achievement and timely completion.
- Ensure a seamless learner and employer journey from onboarding through completion, coordinating with client partnerships and sales.
- Lead change management through funding, policy and organisational growth, providing clear recommendations while protecting values.
Required profile
- Recent senior leadership experience within an independent apprenticeship training provider.
- Deep knowledge of apprenticeship compliance, curriculum development, delivery and quality assurance.
- Proven ability to translate strategy into operational priorities balancing learner outcomes and commercial sustainability.
- Experience leading managers, building leadership capability and integrating multiple functions toward shared goals.
- Strong commercial and financial judgement, including budgeting, resource planning and assessing delivery decisions.
