Head of Communications (Interim) – 3‑Month Assignment

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Communications to lead an organisation‑wide communications function on a three‑month interim basis. The role is based in Central London and will involve shaping strategy, creating compelling content and supporting senior leaders across a range of high‑profile initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy for the whole organisation.
• Act as the primary communications advisor to senior stakeholders, providing strategic counsel.
• Lead media relations, public‑relations activities and thought‑leadership programmes.
• Oversee the creation and distribution of content across digital, social and traditional channels, ensuring brand consistency.
• Use data and insights to measure impact, report on performance and optimise campaigns.
• Manage the communications budget, business planning and ongoing financial oversight.
• Review and sign‑off all communications outputs, including campaign material for New York Climate Week and COP events.
• Support the Assembly project taking place in Turkey and provide team leadership and mentorship.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience leading communications functions.
• Strong strategic thinking combined with hands‑on execution ability.
• Excellent written and verbal storytelling skills.
• Confidence operating at senior leadership level and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple high‑visibility projects.
