Head of Distribution/Operations Manager

About the role

The Head of Distribution/Operations Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership for a fast‑growing electrical engineering and infrastructure business. Reporting to the Group Leadership Team, you will own the Distribution division, driving project delivery, customer service excellence, sustainable growth and industry‑leading safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Distribution team to win and deliver class‑leading solutions for customers across utility and non‑utility markets.
• Develop and implement a growth strategy for the Distribution business, identifying new opportunities, products, services and market sectors.
• Work closely with the Managing Director and Business Development teams to align business objectives with Group growth ambitions.
• Take ownership of Distribution operations, contracts, financial performance and business growth initiatives, transitioning responsibilities from the current Managing Director.
• Contribute as a member of the Group Leadership Team to support wider business improvement and strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience within electrical distribution, utilities, power infrastructure or related sectors.
• Demonstrable experience managing operational teams and delivering complex projects.
• Strong commercial acumen with profit‑and‑loss responsibility.
• Excellent stakeholder management and customer relationship skills.
• Track record of delivering business growth and operational improvement.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management or a related discipline.
