Head of Employment Knowledge (Professional Support Lawyer)

About the role

This is a strategic leadership position within a national law firm, responsible for directing the Employment Professional Support Lawyer team. The role focuses on shaping the firm’s knowledge strategy, ensuring lawyers have access to up‑to‑date precedents, guidance and technology.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Employment Professional Support Lawyer team.
• Define and implement the knowledge strategy for the Employment practice.
• Create and maintain high‑quality precedents, guidance notes and legal resources.
• Monitor legislative and case‑law developments and disseminate updates.
• Design and deliver training sessions for internal colleagues and external clients.
• Support business development through thought‑leadership content.
• Champion legal technology, automation and innovation across the team.
• Collaborate with innovation and knowledge specialists to improve efficiency and client service.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with 8+ years PQE in Employment Law.
• Strong technical expertise in Employment legislation and case law.
• Proven leadership and mentoring experience.
• Commercial awareness and strategic thinking.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Experience producing legal precedents or delivering training.
• Enthusiasm for legal innovation and technology.
• Immigration law experience is advantageous but not essential.
