Head of Enforcement & Recoveries

About the role

The firm is seeking a senior legal professional to lead its Enforcement & Recoveries function. Reporting to senior leadership, the Head will shape strategy, drive operational performance and oversee post‑judgment recovery across high‑value matters.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of solicitors, fee earners, paralegals and support staff.
• Create and implement strategic plans for the enforcement and recoveries function.
• Manage complex enforcement, debt recovery and insolvency‑related recovery actions.
• Advise clients on the most effective routes to recovery and enforcement.
• Monitor team performance, productivity and service standards.
• Drive process improvement and operational efficiencies.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Produce management information and performance reports.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and professional obligations.
• Support wider business growth initiatives and commercial objectives.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or equivalent legal professional.
• Significant experience in litigation, enforcement, recoveries, debt or asset recovery.
• Proven track record of managing and developing legal teams.
• Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and enforcement mechanisms.
• Commercially focused with excellent client management skills.
• Experience handling both high‑volume and complex case portfolios.
• Effective stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Proactive, solutions‑oriented leadership style.
