Head of Engineering

About the role

This is a great opportunity to join a high‑growth organisation at the intersection of AI, data science and pharmaceutical R&D. You will own the Engineering function and help scale a sophisticated AI‑driven platform used by leading pharmaceutical companies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and scale the Engineering team as the business grows.
• Establish strong engineering processes, standards and ways of working.
• Provide architectural oversight and technical direction across the platform.
• Ensure high‑quality, on‑time delivery of complex, enterprise‑grade projects.
• Develop, mentor and support senior engineers and technical leaders.

Required profile

• Hands‑on engineering leadership in fast‑paced startup environments.
• Experience with backend, data engineering or full‑stack systems at scale.
• Proven ability to define technical strategy, architecture and long‑term platform design.
• Track record of managing and empowering senior engineers.
• Strong cross‑functional delivery, stakeholder management and prioritisation skills.
• Experience with knowledge graphs and Neo4j.
