Head of Family Law – Partner Level (Glasgow)

About the role

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced Family Law Partner to head a highly regarded family law team in Glasgow. You will manage your own complex caseload while shaping the strategic direction of the department.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the strategic direction and growth of the family law team in Glasgow.
• Advise clients on divorce, separation, financial settlements and high‑value asset disputes.
• Handle child arrangements, parental rights, relocation and cohabitation matters.
• Oversee complex financial and business asset disputes, negotiating settlements and representing clients in court.
• Mentor, develop and manage the wider family law team.
• Build and maintain relationships with professionals, business owners and high‑net‑worth clients.

Required profile

• Extensive experience across Scottish family law, including complex financial and child law matters.
• Proven track record of leading or mentoring a legal team.
• Clear communicator who provides practical, jargon‑free advice.
• Comfortable handling both negotiated settlements and court litigation.
• Discreet, client‑focused approach with high‑net‑worth individuals and professionals.
• Interest in developing the department’s client base and reputation.
