Head of HR (Hybrid)

About the role

We are looking for a Head of HR to provide operational leadership for our Client's People Services function. Reporting to the Group HR Director, you will translate strategic HR objectives into day‑to‑day practice and ensure a high‑quality, compliant employee experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of People Services, maintaining standards and compliance across all HR processes.
• Manage and develop the People Services team, setting performance targets and coaching staff.
• Oversee complex employee‑relations cases and support Employment Tribunal litigation.
• Direct recruitment, onboarding and safeguarding compliance, including safer recruitment procedures.
• Assist with HRIS implementation, data integrity, GDPR compliance and accurate payroll processing.
• Support organisational change initiatives, including restructures, TUPE and redundancy programmes.
• Produce the annual People Services self‑assessment report and drive continuous improvement actions.

Required profile

• CIPD Level 7 qualification or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in HR operations, recruitment, organisational change and employment‑tribunal casework.
• Strong leadership and people‑management capabilities.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
