Head of Human Resources

About the role

This is a senior, permanent position leading the Human Resources function for a major international energy company across Europe and North America. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will shape and execute a regional people strategy that drives growth and operational excellence. The role is based on‑site in Central London and involves close partnership with senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a regional HR framework covering organisational design, job grading, performance management and reward structures.
• Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures and governance across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring alignment with global standards.
• Lead talent acquisition, workforce planning and employer branding initiatives to support business expansion.
• Oversee compensation and benefits, salary benchmarking, payroll, pensions and HR budgeting.
• Manage UK immigration, Sponsor Licence compliance and Right‑to‑Work processes.
• Provide expert guidance on employee relations, organisational change, succession planning and leadership development.
• Build HR reporting and people analytics to inform strategic decisions.
• Lead, develop and mentor the regional HR team while acting as a trusted advisor to senior management.

Required profile

• Significant HR leadership experience within the energy, oil & gas sector.
• Proven track record supporting businesses across multiple European countries and, preferably, North America.
• CIPD Level 7 (or equivalent) qualification.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law, payroll, pensions and immigration compliance.
• Demonstrated expertise in organisational design, HR transformation and change management.

What we offer

• Competitive salary range £120,000 – £150,000 per year.
• Permanent, full‑time contract with on‑site work (5 days per week) in Central London.
