Head of Infrastructure and Security

About the role

We are seeking a self‑motivated Head of Infrastructure and Security to join the leadership team of a growing charity. Reporting to senior management, you will shape the strategic direction of our technology landscape, ensuring it is secure, resilient and aligned with organisational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement infrastructure and security strategies that support current and future business needs.
• Provide expert advice on emerging technologies and security threats to guide digital investment.
• Oversee design, operation, maintenance and optimisation of networks, servers, storage and cloud platforms.
• Lead cybersecurity programmes, including risk assessments, vulnerability management and incident response.
• Establish and continuously improve IT governance frameworks, policies, standards and controls.
• Manage audits, address findings and ensure compliance with data protection and cybersecurity regulations.
• Lead, mentor and develop the infrastructure and security teams.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated professional with strong analytical, problem‑solving and interpersonal skills.
• Proven leadership experience in managing infrastructure and security functions.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
