Head of Insights and Category

About the role

This senior position leads Business Insights and Category Development for a global FMCG business across Great Britain & Ireland. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will shape the transformation from a P&L‑driven approach to an insight‑led model that drives commercial decisions and sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Business Insights and Category Development across GB&I.
• Build a connected data and insight ecosystem covering consumer, shopper, customer and market data.
• Define and embed the Category Vision, growth drivers and opportunity areas.
• Translate insight into clear actions across portfolio, pricing, innovation and channels.
• Recruit, develop and up‑skill a growing team, raising capability and organisational maturity.

Required profile

• Proven experience in FMCG, beverages or consumer goods.
• Background in Business Insights, Category, Commercial Strategy or Shopper/Consumer Insight.
• Track record of leading transformation, building teams or new capabilities.
• Strong strategic and commercial mindset with senior stakeholder influence skills.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and motivated by building best‑in‑class functions.

• Base salary of £105,000 per year.
