Head of International Trade

About the role

Our client, a leading business network in the City of London, is looking for a Head of International Trade to shape and execute its global strategy. This senior position will drive export capabilities, build high‑value partnerships and generate sustainable revenue streams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the organisation’s international strategy, positioning it as a core growth pillar.
• Lead initiatives that strengthen members’ export capabilities and support global expansion.
• Create and manage high‑impact international programmes, partnerships and revenue‑generating projects.
• Engage with government bodies, overseas chambers and strategic partners to enhance the organisation’s international profile.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the international team, fostering a high‑performing culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience in international trade or export development with a track record of strategic leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to generate revenue and diversify income streams.
• Strong stakeholder management and partnership development skills.
• Excellent negotiation abilities and commercial acumen.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of global markets and export processes.
• Knowledge of the business landscape in London and the UK.
