Head of IT – Lead Technology Strategy & Transformation

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Head of IT to shape and grow the technology function of a fast‑expanding manufacturer and retailer with international operations. Reporting to the COO, you will build a resilient, commercial‑focused IT organisation that underpins the company’s ambitious growth plans.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute an IT strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Build and mature the IT function, establishing standards, governance and best practices.
• Lead, develop and mentor a multi‑site IT team, reducing key‑person dependency.
• Oversee infrastructure, cloud services, networking and end‑user technology.
• Own cyber‑security, risk management, compliance (ISO 27001, GDPR) and data protection.
• Partner with business units to maximise value from ERP and other core systems, improving data quality and reporting.
• Drive digital transformation initiatives, including AI adoption and e‑commerce enablement.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in IT, preferably within manufacturing or retail.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of turning technology into a business enabler.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience managing multi‑site teams and complex projects.
