Head of Knowledge Management

About the role

Our client, a leading UK law firm, is seeking a Head of Knowledge Management to establish and develop a modern Knowledge Management function across the firm. This senior role will own a firm‑wide transformation, moving from fragmented practices to a consistent, technology‑enabled approach.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Knowledge Management strategy from discovery through implementation and adoption, covering legal know‑how, precedents, templates, governance, search and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with Partners, Practice Groups, Knowledge Lawyers, IT, Data, AI and Innovation teams to shape how knowledge is captured, maintained, found and reused.
• Deliver Knowledge Management projects and transformation initiatives across the firm.
• Ensure consistent use of knowledge systems, document management and enterprise search tools.

Required profile

• Strong Knowledge Management experience within a law firm or professional services environment.
• Proven experience delivering Knowledge Management projects or transformation.
• Good understanding of legal knowledge, precedents and know‑how.
• Experience working with knowledge systems, document management and/or enterprise search.
• Strong stakeholder and change management skills.

What we offer

• Salary £65,000‑£85,000 per annum.
