Head of Lamination

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the lamination function within a fast‑growing, family‑run bakery manufacturing business that supplies its own cafés and a wide range of wholesale customers across London. The role is highly hands‑on, combining operational leadership with a passion for creating high‑quality laminated bakery products.

Key responsibilities

• Own day‑to‑day lamination operations, ensuring safety, efficiency and top‑tier product quality.
• Work alongside the production team to meet tight schedules and customer delivery commitments.
• Develop, document and maintain standard operating procedures for all lamination processes.
• Monitor machinery performance, productivity and waste, and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Identify and implement improvements to boost efficiency, quality and cost‑control.
• Lead, coach, train and develop the lamination team, fostering a supportive work environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a senior lamination or similar production role within the food manufacturing sector.
• Strong hands‑on approach with the ability to work alongside operatives on the shop floor.
• Track record of developing SOPs and driving process improvements.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage resources to meet production targets.
