Head of Lettings

About the role

John D Wood is seeking a dynamic Head of Lettings to lead its Wandsworth branch. You will oversee all lettings activities, drive performance, and ensure the highest standards of client service in a historic, market‑leading firm.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve branch targets, profitability, market share and group value.
• Manage client interactions across the lettings process, including market appraisals and negotiations.
• Analyse data and market trends to provide weekly updates and advice to clients.
• Conduct monthly performance reviews with team members, set development goals and identify training needs.
• Maintain compliance with service standards and legislation.
• Oversee marketing of new and existing properties.
• Lead recruitment for the office.

Required profile

• Proven experience running a successful lettings branch.
• Strong relationship‑building and rapport skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast‑changing environment.
• Professional conduct, appearance and attitude that enhance the company’s reputation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, empathy and understanding.
• Dynamic team‑leader with a personal flair.
• Full, clean driving licence.
