Head of Operations – Field Marketing & Events

About the role

We are seeking a commercially‑minded Head of Operations to lead the operational engine behind one of the UK’s fastest‑growing direct‑marketing businesses. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will build scalable operational excellence while staying close to day‑to‑day delivery of pop‑up activations, retail venues and live events across the UK and Ireland.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously improve the end‑to‑end operational model for national pop‑up events and FMCG activations.
• Oversee logistics, workforce planning, contractor management and warehouse operations to ensure seamless execution.
• Maintain IR35 compliance and manage a mixed workforce of employees and contractors.
• Monitor commercial performance, budgets and KPIs, driving profitability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with the CEO and senior leadership on strategic growth and international expansion plans.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in operations, logistics or field‑marketing environments.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering results in fast‑moving consumer brands.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, complex schedules and high‑volume event delivery.

• Salary £70,000‑£80,000 plus performance bonus up to £20,000 (OTE £100,000).
