About the role
As Head of Operations you will take end‑to‑end operational ownership of several production finishing streams. Bluetree Group is a fast‑paced, technology‑led manufacturing environment where you will build, mentor and lead a high‑performing management team to deliver operational excellence across seven key systems: Safety & 5S, Output, Flow, Quality, People, Commerciality and Equipment.
Key responsibilities
- Safety & 5S – maintain healthy safety and 5S standards through regular reviews, audits and a safety‑first culture.
- Output – drive performance against daily, weekly and monthly targets, manage supervisors and plan shift capacity to meet peak demand.
- Flow – establish repeatable processes, monitor work‑through time, remove bottlenecks and ensure correct sequencing of jobs.
- Quality Assurance – embed robust in‑process checks, analyse non‑conformances, root‑cause failures and implement corrective actions.
- People & Leadership – build and develop a high‑performing team, foster accountability, coaching and cross‑training.
- Commerciality – manage operational budgets, reduce cost‑per‑unit through efficiency gains and collaborate with procurement and finance.
- Equipment – promote operator‑led maintenance, ensure machine availability and work with engineering on preventative maintenance.
Required profile
- Operational Leadership – proven track record running high‑volume manufacturing operations.
- Lean Manufacturing – practical experience deploying Lean toolkits such as 5S.
- People Management – demonstrable success in building high‑performing teams and managing change.
- Decisive & Results‑Driven – high energy with a bias for action and delivery under pressure.
- Analytical – uses data to root‑cause operational challenges.
- Collaborative Communicator – able to influence at all levels, from shop‑floor to executive.
- Process Driven – establishes new processes that consistently deliver results.
