Head of Placement – Professional Risks

About the role

Harrison Holgate is seeking an experienced London Market broker to lead placement of complex Professional Indemnity and Financial Lines risks. Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will initially stay hands‑on in broking while progressively taking on broader leadership responsibilities as the business grows.

Key responsibilities

• Lead placement of complex Professional Indemnity and Financial Lines risks into the London Market.
• Drive improvements in market engagement, responsiveness and placement strategy.
• Increase quote‑to‑bind conversion rates through effective execution.
• Manage, mentor and develop a team of placing brokers.
• Oversee service delivery across the full placement lifecycle.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers, producers and key stakeholders.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of the business and shape future growth.
• Implement process, team structure and operational improvements.

Required profile

• Extensive London Market broking experience, particularly in Professional Indemnity and/or Financial Lines.
• Established relationships across the London insurance market.
• Previous leadership, management or mentoring experience.
• Strong commercial awareness with a proven record of delivering results.
• Proactive mindset with confidence to influence change and improve performance.
• Ambition to take on broader leadership responsibilities over time.
