Head of Private Client

About the role

The role leads the Private Client department of a well‑established law firm in Luton. It offers an ambitious solicitor the chance to shape a growing practice while delivering high‑quality advice to affluent clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, develop and mentor the Private Client team, providing supervision and ongoing support.
• Manage a varied caseload covering Wills, Probate, Trusts, Estate Planning and Inheritance Tax.
• Drive business development and networking to grow the department.
• Maintain exceptional client service and strong relationships with clients and professional referrers.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years post‑qualification experience in Private Client law.
• Strong technical knowledge across all areas of Private Client practice.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience, or clear ambition to move into a leadership role.
• Excellent communication, client‑care and business‑development abilities.
