Head of Procurement

About the role

Char.gy, the UK’s leading on‑street EV charging provider, is seeking a Head of Procurement to lead its procurement function and drive growth across installation, maintenance and manufacturing services. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape the long‑term procurement strategy, negotiate critical contracts and build a best‑in‑class governance framework.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute short‑ and long‑term procurement strategies for installation, maintenance and manufacturing, aligning with the company’s growth plans.
• Lead negotiation and drafting of high‑value agreements, including NEC4 contracts, with critical suppliers and partners.
• Design and oversee a Procurement Governance structure covering contract and supplier management, risk controls and performance monitoring.
• Represent procurement at board level, advising on commercial strategy, contractual risk and supplier relationships.
• Build and develop a high‑performing procurement, contract and supplier management team.

Required profile

• 8+ years of procurement or contracts leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a senior management role.
• Proven track record of negotiating and drafting complex commercial agreements, especially NEC4 contracts.
• Experience designing and implementing procurement governance frameworks and supplier management processes.
• Strong analytical, decision‑making and communication skills, with ability to influence senior stakeholders.
