Head of Protection

About the role

IPOE Consulting is seeking a Head of Protection to lead its growing protection advisory team. This senior position combines expert client advice with strategic development of the protection proposition, serving high‑net‑worth individuals, business owners and directors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialist advice on personal, family and business protection solutions.
• Manage complex protection cases for directors, shareholders and high‑net‑worth clients.
• Identify and develop new revenue opportunities through existing clients and professional introducers.
• Recruit, coach and mentor a high‑performing protection team.
• Build and maintain relationships with accountants, solicitors, tax advisers, wealth managers and insurers.
• Ensure advice quality, FCA compliance and exceptional customer service.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience advising on protection solutions.
• Strong background in complex business protection and high‑net‑worth client work.
• Deep knowledge of trusts, inheritance tax planning and protection underwriting.
• Commercial mindset with a proven track record of generating new business.
• Excellent relationship‑building and communication skills.
• Relevant qualifications such as CeMAP, DipFA or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence.
