Head of Sales

About the role

The Head of Sales will own the performance of the sales function for a leading motor retail group in the North West. You will be responsible for driving profitability, ensuring operational excellence and delivering an outstanding customer experience across multiple brands.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop the sales team to consistently exceed targets.
• Plan and manage the department to maximise profitability and operational efficiency.
• Maintain a positive, high‑performance working environment.
• Oversee day‑to‑day processes in car finance, retail sales and administration.
• Collaborate with senior management to align sales strategy with overall growth plans.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and manufacturer requirements.
• Analyse sales data, identify trends and report performance to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a senior sales management role, preferably within the motor trade.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large sales teams in a fast‑paced environment.
• Track record of achieving sales targets and driving growth.
